Imagine a place so pristine, beautiful and peaceful, the absolute silence and sheer majesty of your surroundings strikes you immediately. The land time forgot where you could truly relax and take in the splendour of natural New Zealand.

Rimu Lodge is this place. For those fortunate enough to discover it, Rimu Lodge is ideal for discovering the stunning region or simply retreating to the privacy and relaxation of the lodge. The four ensuite bedrooms take maximum advantage of the wonderful views over the Hokitika River to the mountains beyond and are casually stylish, yet intimately decorated.

In winter, enjoy a glass of wine in the great room with its large open fire and in summer, on the large sun-soaked deck that sits out over the trees. Guests can watch the birds flying back to their nests, watch the sun setting on the mountain ranges, and watch the first of the stars touch the night sky.

Enjoy a half or full day trout or salmon fishing in a number of New Zealand’s best rivers or enjoy a number of bush and beach walks in the area or just unwind, relax and perhaps most importantly, hear yourself think. Rimu Lodge - the perfect retreat.
